CEO Gordon McHenry, Jr. represented non-profits on Mayor Murrays Income Inequality Committee. We honor todays recommendation for a phased-in $15/hour minimum wage in Seattle. Heres a (low-res) clip of Gordon speaking at the press conference this morning. Its a continuation of work weve been doing for decades. In 1988 Fremont Public Association fought to raise the state minimum wage and provide the nations first indexing of minimum wage to the cost of living. The kick-off campaign for the initiative signature drive was held at our Fremont Food Bank.
