CGS Iligan, PCGA assists passengers left stranded by Napo Bridge collapse in Lanao del Norte DOTC-PCG: The personnel of Coast Guard Station (CGS) Iligan together with the 1003rd Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA) Squadron have assisted in the safe ferrying of passengers between Linamon and Kauswagan, Lanao del Norte when the Napo Bridge connecting both municipality collapsed last Monday, January 13. Reports revealed that Napo Bridge collapsed due to strong river current that resulted to the heavy congestion of vehicles from both sides of the bridge. Immediately, CGS Iligan and the PCGA team assessed the situation and conducted assistance to the stranded passengers by ferrying them from Linamon to Kauswagan and vice versa and ensured safety precautions before allowing the motor banca to depart only with limited passengers wearing life jackets. Subsequently, Coast Guard disseminates information to the public based on the current situation that Napo Bridge is not passable as of the moment.
