CHAPTER 1: World War Seven 2079….. The year when everything fell apart. You people that read this later on, the people that will read this when civilization takes over again. When our popular “zombie” took over. We never thought it would happen… We all just thought that it would never happen. I bet you don’t even know what I’m talking about. Never mind that. Many people though that this- the future. That the future would be full of hover cars and such. That at the 30th Century, we would have instant everything. We probably would have. However, what ended up happening at the dawn of 2079 changed our lives… World war 7. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, it came to this. After 2020, nukes were launched to America, causing constant war, peace, and then war again. America was still live and strong. In fact, it was us who turned the world into what it is today. At the turn of 2071, the only countries alive were Russia, America, and Africa. I think you can guess who was winning. China had been wiped out by Africa. In 2033, Africa became a civil nation, and used their past knowledge of survival to become ultimate warriors. 2075, Russia is taken over by America. Africa pushes onto America’s front lines. On 2077, the president is killed. Africa is closing in on Washington D.C. Africa is a war country from then on, as they push to the capital. December 10th, 2088. “They’re pushing on the capital! Defend this line!!!” “Grenade!!!!!” Soldiers dash and leap away from the grenade, sending shrapnel across the area. The soldiers are dazed, crawling on the dirt covered streets of Washington. They are approximately 20 miles from the capital, and all of America’s military force is defending this. Africa might win. Meet Blake Nahm. He’s a five year war veteran, having earned two purple hearts. He’s 27, black hair, brown eyes, and a scar upon his chin. Many of his friends have been through two world wars so far. “Blake, grab the Javelin!” A soldier cries “I got it!” Blake grabs the rocket launcher and aims at incoming helicopters. “Locked, take cover!” The rocket launcher fires and all of the soldiers jump into the trenches. The helicopter rams to the right, hitting another helicopter hard, and being pushed into the last helicopter, sending all of them down. They all go down in a cluster, sending flares of explosions into the air. The helicopters land just short of the trenches. “We’re good to go, charge forward!” A soldier screams this out, and they all begin running. Blake stays behind and defends the trenches. The soldiers charge forward, firing into the line of African Militia. Shots fire into a man’s skulls, taking him out. At the same time, a sniper fires into five men before being blown up by a grenade. Men fall all over the torn battlefield. “Bravo in, take cover!” The group of soldiers take cover in a burnt nearby building, as heavy suppressive fire from Africans lands on them. One soldier doesn’t make it. Radios blare across the field. “Bravo check.” “Charley Check!” “Alpha Check!” The three groups are good to go, they await the general’s orders. At this point, all of the remaining United States army is at the front line. Africa’s men are dwindling. Commander Siental jumps on the radio. “I need a status report on all three teams, go!” Charley comes in first “Charley here, we’re all good to go, we’ve all got a good amount of ammo and men.” “Alpha here, we’re ready to go, crap loads of men and ammo!.” “Bravo here, we’re badly wounded, but we have lots of ammo.” The general pauses for a moment… he taps his finger on the mahogany table. The walls around him are peeling ever so slowly. The room rumbles every minute from shelling upon the city “Alright, Charley you take the right, there’ll be a medium amount of men guarding this area. Bravo, you take the left where a small camp lay hardly standing. Alpha, take the middle, We got a large battalion of African Militia moving in.” The three teams were ready. 2078, December 29th. African militia intercepts the radio signals, and is ready for the men to strike. This time, they put all of the strongest men spread out across the field. Gatling guns and gunships are setup along the entire lines. This would be a day of slaughter. The Americans charge across the hill, firing wildly. Within five hours, every single American Soldier was taken down by the gunships and Gatling guns. The picture was horrible. Soldiers lay across the field, blood strewn everywhere, single shots fired on every survivor. Blake hears the failure on the radio. “All men, fall back, we’re losing this fight!” Blake commands the soldiers to run away, in turn, America loses the fight. African Militia march onto the white house and order tanks to fire upon it. Commander Siental stands in the room. “To the remaining soldiers still in this room. Ready yourselves.” They all stand there and look down. “Why?!” “Would you rather lose this fight, or have hell on earth… It’s not your decision anyway…. Men, I’m going to press the Infection button.” “But sir, that would destroy all mankind.” “We’ve already been destroyed. By war, greed! As we speak, the African Militia is firing tanks on our white house. Think to yourselves men! Who are you!? You are soldiers, not cowards! If we do not press this button, then the war will wage on and on. What say you all?!” The soldiers cheered after the speech, and Commander pressed the button. Immediately, nuke silos rose up. The rockets were labeled “EMERGENCY CONTAMINATION.” The rockets began to rumble and shake, violently like an earthquake. The massive rockets flew out from the silos, hundreds of them. Ten, to Africa. Two smaller rockets were aimed for Washington D.C. and California. The rest, to every country in the world. The commander laughed. “What?” The soldiers asked, menacingly. “You fools! I just unleashed the apocalypse upon this earth. If we can’t have it, then nobody will! We are the greatest nation of all…” Just then, a bullet flew into his head, with a soldier holding the gun. Blake took hold of the radio, to tell all other federal offices of the event. “This is Colonel Blake Nahm, Commander Siental has just launched ‘Protocol Contamination. We have approximately six minutes before the African Militia get into the presidential bunker, eight minutes before the nukes hit California and Washington, and seven minutes before I can hack into the system and stop the nukes.” For a while, all is silent. Suddenly, the Secretary of Defense gets on the line. “It’s useless, what you just stated means that we have no chance in stopping this Apocalypse. Brace for impact. That’s an order.” Blake sighs…. “You heard her. Everyone brace for impact, take cover! Johnny, grab the guns and store them in the locker.” “You hear that?” Johnny screams “Sounds like the rocket!” Shortly after yelling this, the blaring sound of the rocket spiraling toward the bunker is unbearable. “Guys, we have three minutes until that rocket hits us, and one until the Militia breaks in!” Suddenly, the bunker door gets rammed violently. This happens several times, and it finally breaks down. The doors fly onto the floor, and the American soldiers fire upon the Militia. The Africans fall back and await reinforcements. “Yeah, that’s right! Run away you….” Unbelievably quickly, a blast shakes the entire bunker and knocks them all to the floor. Ammo boxes and other supplies fall off of the shelves and knock soldiers unconscious, those who aren’t knocked unconscious are killed from explosions with grenades. All hell breaks loose very quickly, people on the surface begin screaming and holding their backs, they squirm all over the floor. Their eyes bleed and they suddenly go unconscious. This was going to change the world. Forever.
