CHAPTER 76 V1 -12 speaks about the victorious God. Note( v3) Ezek. 38: 12, (v5) Is. 10: 12, 46: 12, (v6) Ex. 15: 1-21, (v7) Nah. 1: 6, (v8) Ex. 19: 9, 2 Chr. 20: 29. (v10) Rom. 9: 17, (v11) Eccl. 5: 4- 6, 2 Chr. 32: 22, 23, (v12) Psalm 68: 35, Psalm 76 (v3 – 9) indicates that the psalm was written on the occasion of a miraculous deliverance of Jerusalem (Salem in v2) Perhaps from Sennacherib (2 King 19: 32- 35). The Psalm contains a narrative of the deliverance (v1 – 9) and a call to all people to submit to the Lord’s sovereignty (v10 – 12).
