National Network to End Domestic Violence was asked by Warner Brothers to preview tomorrows episode of the sitcom Mom airing on CBS (Thursday 8:30, 7:30 CT). The episode addresses domestic violence in the past of one of the main characters. Initially, we were hesitant given that its a sitcom and we would never endorse making a joke out of domestic violence but after watching it, we believe they have done a good job. Additionally, Kim was interviewed by USA Today (link below) regarding the episode. Thursday evening we will be participating in social media tomorrow along with the cast from the show and encourage you all to also participate if you are comfortable in doing so. We feel that this is a good opportunity to help start the conversation. CBS intends to revisit the issue in future episode and have committed to consulting us, so we are encouraged about this relationship.
