CHEAP LIFE-----life is losing its value at an alarming rate here in kenya. It appears that the planners of these murders like numbers and the bigger the better. These murders need not happen, the governor of mandera shouted himself hoarse trying to warn us that al shabaab were crossing the border with intent to commit a terrorist act but the people who protect us decided to ignore him. We are again hearing the usual cacophony of voices demanding the dismissal of ole lenku and kimaiyo and then as always nothing happens. Ole lenku and kimaiyo are guilty for not beefing up security in mandera even after the governor gave his warning but the real culprits in this Mandera massacre are the NIS, the Cabinet secretary defense and the military boss. Did the NIS investigate the governors claims--- i highly doubt. The defense cabinet secretary and the general owe this country an explanation how after almost two years in somalia alshabaab camps still exist in territory under their command yet this territory is regularly under air surveillance---- the million dollar question is how come the KDF can suddenly find these camps only after al shabaab have staged a raid in kenya-----it doesnt add up
