CHELSEA SET TO REWARD HAZARD WITH IMPROVE OFFER. The brilliant young Belgian has become one of the most sought-after players in Europe over the last 20 months, with displays that have lit up the Premier League. French giants Paris St Germain, with virtually unlimited transfer funds thanks to their Qatari backers, tried to tempt Hazard last summer with a £50million offer that was rejected by Chelsea, but are expected to return again with a bigger offer at the end of this season. Real Madrid and Barcelona are also monitoring his situation. Hazard, 23, is already Chelsea’s second top earner on around £180,000 a week, and he will have three years left on his contract at the end of this season. However, Chelsea are laying down plans to ward off any potential offers by tying their brilliant young forward down on a new four or five-year deal which could be worth £200,000 a week – the same as misfit striker Fernando Torres.
