CHIPOLOPOLO OUT OF BRAZIL CONTENTION Hopes of the Chipolopolo going to Brazil for their first ever World Cup outing have been quashed by Ghana. Ghana beat Zambia 2 – 1 at the game played in town called Kumasi but does not have an international airport. Zambia needed all the spoils against Ghana to book a place in the play-offs. After 22 minutes of play Ghana was up by one goal after Waris headed an unexpected and seemingly harmless cross from John Boye into the net. But the second goal from Ghana’s Kwadwo Asamoah has silenced Zambian supporters, as chances of Zambia scoring more than 2 goes are unrealistic. Zambia however fought back and scored a solace which but not enough to secure the Chipolopolo Boys a chance to qualify, as they needed to beat Ghana to progress. Ghana now qualifies to the third and last round of the qualifiers with 15 points followed by Zambia with 11 points.
