***CHIRPING OLDER LOVEBUG HAS AN ABSCESSED JAW & IS FIV+ - PLEASE GRANT MIDNIGHT A DEATH ROW PARDON!!!*** Eight-year-old ebony boy MIDNIGHT entered the high-kill ACC as a STRAY in sad shape. This loving, affectionate fellow has an abscess on the right side of his jaw & at the base of his right ear; he received treatment for his abscess, but he also tested positive for FIV. Despite all his woes, Midnight is a SUPER-AFFECTIONATE boy who CHIRPS, RUBS, & MEOWS FOR MORE! No WONDER this lovebug earned a near-perfect AVERAGE behavioral rating! But the ACC will kill Midnight at noon tomorrow due to his medical issues. Please know that FIV+ cats can have, & DESERVE to have, a long & healthy life. They need careful attention to their general health & diet, but this is no more than any cat should receive. A properly cared-for FIV cat need not have a shortened life expectancy. But Midnights life expectancy is down to mere HOURS.
