CHOICE OF POLITICAL PARTIES IN OGUN STATE Just last week I refuted my support for continuously supporting the incumbent Governor his Excellence Ibikunle Amosun. And due to this reason I embarked on my fact findings journey to discover a suitable political party with a good manifesto that has human face and whose intra party and inter party affair were in line with the true meaning of democracy in this our political dispensation. This my quest into the sojourn of modus operandi of each political parties existing in our dear state Ogun State is quite revealing, though to some of us who have been actively involved in the politics of Ogun State, it is not a news to us but the recent development may amazed u. Let me start with my first political party that I first visited and that is PDP. In the past we all knew what brought a sudden end to the reigns of PDP in 2011 when the centre can no longer hold water between the Gbenga Daniel lead administration of 8years of intolerant ruling with the Tunji Egbetokun lead house of Assembly and we are also acquainted with the scenario that gave birth to PPN when PDP cannot reach a compromised on the presentation of a common front aspirant to represent the party at the pool. And in between the dramas were General Tunji Isola Olurin and Gboyega Nasiru who were the sacrificial lamb. But lately due to the comparative disagreement that divided PDP then that has rear its urgly face in APC , I am of the opinion that PDP wouldve learnt their lesson and do everything possible within her folds to correct the past mistakes of kaka keku ma je sese a fi se awadanu ni. Looking at the party from outside I thought all is well with PDP. But going closer I observed that the internal crisis may even further cause a rift that is more serious in effect than the brake away witnessed in APC. Kashamu who is seen as the number one man in PDP of Ogun in his effort to bring onboard all parties involves which includes OGD, Salako, Martins kuye and co. Has on its platform 10 contestants and the 10 meant business. But the problem is can there be a consensus agreement? And if consensus arrangement cannot work, will the primary be favorable to any of the Ogun west person, zone which I ve strong passion for? Why oath of secrecy has became order of the day in the PDP and this is one disgusting thing I don’t fancy. Secondly, the party is paying lip services and lip wisdom to what they ve been preaching in terms of quality leadership. Cos I don’t see why you are going to earn peoples support when u are not doing the peoples bidding. Though I am seeing the Party as my choice party if the current insinuation that the party is looking towards Yewa North, but if it’s true that this good gesture was bought by money(500.000) am afraid that the same kashamu can still decide to collect money from another money bag individual to change his direction but God forbid. I am comfortable with any of the Trio (GNI, AKINLADE and OSA) from my Zone than even Dimeji Bankole who has been using his Abuja strength to further polarize the unity in Ogun State PDP. LABOUR PARTY LP is another party in the state that has allow urge for membership drive to polarize and reduced the party to a very ridiculous value in the state. The Comrade Bode Simeon lead Exco started on a very good foot and note but allow greed and power play in the state by the likes of Akinlade, Sarafa, GNI and OGD and Osunshina to ravage the party. OGD in particular was said to have been the man who destroyed Labour party, cos he never realised the fact that he his a former Governor but still have the mirrageous believe of the man incharge a very bad attitudes that has been his trade mark always has he used to disorganise any political party he found himself. And the labour party platform could be described as the battle field or rather say, used and dump platform. But now that the party has been relinquished back to her original formation I hope the party can still put her structure back and gain it full strength as a party of hope. But with this there Ijebu agenda or Egba ambition I think I am not comfortable to be part of them and I don’t think they can get the require strength to face the Amosun lead administration. SOCIAL DEMOCRATIC PARTY If S D P can consider an Ogun west option, it will be the latest pride to toast. They have the resource and the right attitude to be a party of relevance. In a matter of days i shall conclude with my choice of political party base on the credibility of candidates present. But as for Amosun the line has already been drawn. The caliber of people whom we are in the APC that left is a pointer to the fact that will inform my opinion.
