The word “virgin” in Isa.7:14 has now been replaced in The Revised Standard Version of the Bible, with the word “young woman”, which is the correct translation of the Hebrew “almah”. Almah is the word used all along in the Hebrew Text not “Bethulah” which means virgin. • NO RECORD OF THE VIRGIN BIRTH: If Jesus had been “born of a virgin” the ancient literature would have been filled with this greatest of all miracles, and all of Asia Minor would have known of it; but the ancient literature is silent on the matter. In fact only two books of the entire Bible thought this “Immaculate Conception” was worth mentioning; it is never mentioned in the Acts, or in any of the Epistles and was evidently unknown to all of the Apostles. {What is even more amazing is that nowhere, outside of the New Testament , is the name Jesus Christ mentioned, nothing about his miraculous birth, nothing about his parentage, nothing about his stupendous miracles, nothing about his life, not one word about his crucifixion, resurrection, or ascension.
