Smoothing out the jagged edges of the original, Moon Boots takes CHVRCHES’ angelic vocals and pairs them with an atmospheric, nu dicso beat. Funky, muted bass notes work spectacularly with the delicate, spaced out top layer. Where CHVRCHES’ tracks usually sound like fragmented power ballads, Moon Boots has drawn out a placid quality to the band, which works just great.
