Virtual Voices will allow citizens to provide feedback about important Sandusky topics. City leaders will read these comments and consider them when making decisions. The first forum is for the Monday, August 12 City Commission agenda. Registered users can view and comment on the agenda beginning at 10:30 a.m. today (August 9). The comment period will end at 12 p.m. on Monday to allow time for comments to be forwarded to the city commissioners prior to their meeting at 5 p.m. City Commission agendas will continue to be posted on the Friday prior to the actual meeting day, and the comment period will close at 12 p.m. on the day of the meeting. To utilize Virtual Voices, simply go to the city’s website, ci.sandusky.oh.us, click on the tab for “Virtual Voices”, and create your login information. Feel free to participate in any of the forums posted. Virtual Voices is run by Peak Democracy, a non-partisan company with a mission to broaden civic engagement and build public trust in government. As with any public comment process, participation in Virtual Voices is voluntary. City officials will consider opinions from this forum, along with those from public meetings, letters, calls and emails from citizens.
