CIVIL AVIATION AUTHORITY OF ZIMBABWE POSITIONS: INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AUDITOR Reports to: PRINCIPAL AUDITOR Location: HEAD OFFICE Job purpose The position exists to assure the Authority has adequate standards for the development of IT systems. Data and information security, database management and security, network administration and overall information security. Duties and responsibilities 1. Review the Authoritys policy, standards and procedures for system development, data capture and security, database management and security and network administration for integrity and effectiveness. 2. Review the adequacy and effectiveness of IT controls and security of data and information. 3. Evaluate IT systems for availability, reliability and economic viability to satisfy the Authoritys strategic objectives. 4. Evaluate information technology risks as they relate to and affect financial reporting, services delivery and government processes. 5. Evaluate the electronic process of generating financial statements for integrity and effectiveness. 6. Review IT software and systems for compliance with policy, regulatory, industry and legal provisions. 7. Review whether employees adhere to and follow safety and security guidelines as established by management. 8. Evaluate the match between IT and level of IT appreciation in the Authority. Qualification and Skills • A degree in Computing Science or equivalent with a string accounting background •Certificate by either Certified Information Systems Audit (CISA), Control objectives for Information and Related Technology (COBIT), Business Value from Information Technology Investments (Val IT), Risk IT, Certified Information Systems Manager (CISM) Control in the Governance of Enterprise Information Technology (CGEIT) or Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC). •A total of two years post-graduate IT Auditing experience.
