CLAIMS OFFICER- NCB Job Description Process death and living benefit claims; this includes the assessment of the claim to determine if there is sufficient information to make a decision in keeping with the Terms and Conditions of the policy contract. Coordinate and monitor assigned activities in the unit such as routine verification and approvals, ensuring accurate and timely processing in accordance with governing regulations/rules (Insurance Act & Regulations, Know Your Customer - KYC rules, Anti-Money Laundering etc.) as well as Company policies and guidelines. Review and approve customer requests for Surrenders / Withdrawals and Omni Educator grants as well as to ensure the consistent achievement of operational targets / KPIs established for the Unit. Assist with the development and maintenance of processes, procedures and monitoring mechanisms by ensuring that there is proper documentation, ongoing review and updates. Review and approve requests for reinstatement of policies as well as to update customer records, approve requests for assignment of coverage (group life) and policy values. Job Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Management Studies or related field. At least five (5) parts of the Fellow of the Life Management (FLMI) program and currently pursuing the FLMI designation. Four years (4) experience in the Life Insurance Industry.
