CLINT EASTWOOD One of the most prominent actors and directors of the second half of the twentieth century. After achieving stardom in the 60s in Europe thanks to its collaboration with Italian director Sergio Leone, Clint Eastwood developed an impeccable career in Hollywood with a simple but penetrating acting ability and great talent as a film author. Clinton Eastwood Jr. was born on May 31, 1930 in the city of San Francisco (USA). In 1956 he managed to debut at the cinema seize an opportunity provided to Universal. Eastwood has been especially critical acclaim in France, also films that were not well received in his own country, and has therefore been awarded the highest honors of the European country: in 1994 he received the Order of Arts and letters of the French Republic in 2007 and the Legion of Honor. In 2000 he received the Golden Lion for his entire career at the International Venice Film Festival. Since 1967, Eastwood has his own film production company, Malpaso Productions, which has produced most of his films. He was also mayor of the Californian town of Carmel-by-the-Sea from 1986 to 1988.
