CLOUD UPDATE The cloud deck is beginning to thin out at about 5,000 feet up. Here is an enhanced water vapor image. It shows moisture higher up in the atmosphere. The green is moisture the darker areas show dry air. You can see the dry air stretching from Del Rio northeast to Shreveport, La. I believe the cloud deck over the area will continue to thin out over the next several hours. It may not completely go away but since it is a thin layer, it might not be able to keep the temperatures from dropping off into the 20s. We have dropped a couple of degrees in the past hour. A good indication the big drop is on its way. You should have already taken care of your plants, pets and pipes. We will warm up into the weekend. Another cold front will take us back into freezing territory next week.
