Miles of Golf began custom fitting golf clubs in 1996 and has grown into one of the largest custom club fitting golf shops in the country. We custom fit Titleist, Ping, Callaway, TaylorMade, Cobra, Mizuno, Adams, Cleveland, Nike and more. What separates our custom fitting program from others? First and foremost, the knowledge, training, and experience of our fitting staff. In addition to our outstanding staff are the facility and tools utilized in custom fitting. Our facility, the Cluboratory, is heated and protected from the elements yet allows a player to hit out onto our range so the full flight of the ball can be observed. The tools include a $225,000 inventory of clubs for testing and fitting and the latest in launch monitor technology from TrackMan, SAM, Quintic and Game Changer. The Cluboratory offers two fitting options – Basixx and Maxx Fittings. Basixx Fittings These fittings are designed for 80-90% of all players and help golfers of all levels make good decisions when purchasing golf equipment. To accomplish this, a player will go through a two-step process of testing clubs and then being fit for clubs. These fittings rely heavily on visual ball flight, providing our experienced club fitters with the information they need to produce an exceptional fit. Game Changer GC2 Launch Monitors are used at the end of the process to verify the information. All fees for our Basixx testing and fitting are fully refundable with the purchase of equipment. Maxx Fittings Designed for the serious player who wants the maximum in club fitting expertise and technology when making decisions about golf equipment. There are several types of Maxx fittings, all of which use the TrackMan ball flight monitors. Guiding you through the process are our most experienced club-fitting professionals. For a player to benefit from our Maxx fittings, he or she must have the skill to hit shots with relative consistency. The fees for Maxx fittings are partially refundable with the purchase of equipment. Fitting Options: Driver Finding the right driver is one of the most important, yet difficult equipment decisions a player can make. A Driver Fitting focuses specifically on a players launch angle, spin rate and dispersion while optimizing those variables based on the players ability to hit the center of the club face. The ultimate goal of this fitting is to find the right combination of driver head and shaft that will deliver the best overall distance and accuracy for that player. This fitting focuses on maximizing distance with all metal woods while ensuring that there are consistent yardage gaps between all fairways and/or hybrids. BASIXX $100 (60 min) 100% Refund w/purchase MAXX $175 (90 min) $50 Refund w/purchase Irons As with the driver, selecting and fitting irons requires collecting data on ball speed, launch angles and spin rates for a host of different irons. After our ball flight monitors collect this data, your club-fitter will help you determine which irons perform best for you and determine their specifications. These “specs” are then forwarded to the appropriate manufacturer for construction. It excludes only the putter. Using TrackMan™, carry distances are measured to within 1 foot of every 100 yards. From this data, gaps and overlaps in the set are identified. Solutions to these distance issues are then examined and usually include bending iron lofts, replacing irons with hybrids or high lofted fairways, and bending or replacing wedges. Fees include bending clubs. Our wedge fittings follow the procedure created by our club fitting partner, Titleist and their FittingWorks program. The four-step process is as follows: 1. Evaluate the player’s current wedges 2. Test sole performance and technique 3. Fit for sand wedge loft and spin 4. Fill gaps between wedges In addition to the performance characteristics, wedge feel and aesthetics will be compared. Many wedges today are available in a multitude of finishes; as such the player has many options for the exact look and feel of the wedges in his bag. MAXX $100 (60 min) $25 Refund w/purchase Putter During a Maxx Putter Fitting your tendencies (aiming, face at impact, path, overall rotation and where you hit it on the face), timing (swing durations, rhythm) and most importantly the consistencies are measured using SAM PuttLab and Quintic. We analyze your current putter and then try other putters and see if we can find something that has better tendencies, timing and produces consistent results. This eliminates the guesswork on loft, lie, head style and head weight. You will better understand your mechanics and be more confident over the ball after your putter fitting.
