CLUSTER KAYAK JOINING INSTRUCTIONS PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF VENUE Cluster kayak events are due to take place at, Astbury Mere, Congleton on the following dates: Kayaking Cluster Date 5 6th July 6 7th July Cluster dates for 1 & 2 TBC As per the previous instructions from Wing. Each cluster can send 10 cadets (Total not each unit) on the specified date. Please select the number of cadets from units yourselves and ensure at least 1 member of staff from the cluster accompanies the group. Staff who have an interest in becoming qualified or assisting may come along however another member of staff must come to supervise the groups on land. Each cadet must bring £8 for a full days access to the water Trainers to wear in the kayak Complete change of clothes and footwear Towel Bag for wet clothes Cash for tuck shop Food and drink for the day PLEASE ENSURE CADETS HAVE SIGNED PARENTAL CONSENT FORMS Staff are to bring the cadets to ASTBURY MERE, for 0930hrs and will conclude at 1600hrs Access to ASTBURY MERE, CONGLETON is gained from the A34 just before Congelton Town Centre. When travelling from the general direction of Stoke on Trent on the A34 to the left side of the road just prior to the entrance to the site is a car sales facility which on the last visit had a blue canopy. To the right of the road is a village hall which has a black spire on the building. The entrance is opposite the junction of Padgbury Lane.
