Provide manufacturing and assembly workmanship and quality standards where necessary. Estimate production and assembly set up and run times, material costs, and assist in the time studies. Build cell type manufacturing areas to facilitate increased assembly flexibility to meet customer needs. Manufacture fixtures, shelves and assembly aides to support production. Maintain production master data, BOM and Routings Makes changes to production master data as required via the company change management system. Determines kanban supply areas and bin sizes for kanban storage. Supports company Value production and the knowledge network teams within the organization. Assist in the set-up of machines and equipment within the assigned production area. Supports continuous improvement and shop cleanliness utilizing the 5S method. Prepare and/or review production work instructions as required to ensure manufacturing specifications are met. Ensures proper methods are utilized in the assembly process to meet manufacturing specifications Sets up and operates conventional machine tools such as: milling machine, lathe and surface grinder. Job Skills: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and Trade School: or Minimum three year related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior CNC machine operator experience or machinist trade school. Knowledge of hand tools and the Metric system. Knowledge of inspection tools. Excellent oral & written communication skills.
