Eness Fellenz If its a right wing faux patriotic film, dont want to see it. Im kinda feeling Mike Moores view of things. I love hero movies and the things that heroes do like rushing a machine gun nest, falling on a live grenade to save others, holding off a horde of Chinese regulars while grossly outnumbered during the Battle of the Chosin Reservoir, and all of that valor stuff and grit and raw courage, and I love when its all tied to a greater truth as in freedom and justice for all. Of course, that was the moral message and environment of WWII and even Korea. It got murkier after that, and of course with the War in Iraq it all got totally lost. So if the movies message is a glorification of anything American in a war that was criminally wrong, that destabilized Iraq, and was ultimately responsible for killing this American sniper, then I dont want to see it. I dont want to be reminded in an aura of moral and practical wrong that something was right about the more than 4,000 good American boys and girls who didnt come home, and the tens of thousands of more whose lives are permanently ruined by the terrible injuries, maiming, and PTSDs that will forever mar their remaining days and those of their families ...... for nothing. Nope, Ill stick with my John Wayne, Robert Mitchum, Burt Lancaster epics of heroes fighting under heroes like FDR and Eisenhower and Patton, not Bush and Cheney and Franks. Like · Reply · 1 · 27 mins
