CNN weighs in with religious opinion on the Rapture, and no, we do - TopicsExpress

CNN weighs in with religious opinion on the Rapture, and no, we do not agree with their opinion. The word harpazo in Greek is the word also translated as rapture, from the Roman Latin word rapturus, meaning both a gathering and a caught up feeling of ecstasy or rapture. When they quote the passage in I Thessalonikans 4:17, they use the term caught up in their translation, and this is the word rapture to born again Christian believers. Thus, the subject of the Rapture did not originate with J.N. Darby in 1830 as they claim, it originated with the Apostle Paul in 65 A.D. and is in every New Testament Bible, and is not misinterpreted. The real point of contention for all Christian believers is whether the Rapture is Pre-Trib, Mid-Trib, or Post-Trib. That is, before, in the middle of, or after the Great Tribulation period. And of course, the Roman Catholics do not believe in the Rapture. They dont read the Bible. cnn/2014/07/06/opinion/parini-rapture-real/index.html?hpt=hp_c3
