CO ALARM Carbon Monoxide is known as the silent killer. It is a highly toxic and sometimes deadly gas. It can leak from household appliances such as boilers or gas heaters when they haven’t been installed or serviced properly. Carbon Monoxide (CO) is odourless and almost invisible, and so almost impossible for humans to detect. Our Cosy Home Care annual service and inspections can reduce the risk, but for all-year-round protection, we recommend you get a CO ALARM which tells you with a piercing tone when the gas is present, before it build to dangerous levels. We can install our alarms for you to provide this protection at a very low cost. Don’t leave your safety to chance. What to do if the alarm sounds: Immediately turn off all gas appliances in your home, open all doors and windows to ventilate the property, and make two phone calls: gas emergency services on 0800 111 999; our Careline on 08448 730735 and leave the property without delay. To avoid false alarms, the alarm should be checked regularly for dust and cobwebs. Of course we check our alarms when fitted each year on an annual contract, and every time we attend to any call-out you have made for any other reason.
