COME, YE THANKFUL PEOPLE, COME Im always amazed at the amount of inspirational messages that pour out over Facebook! Of course, Im sure it has something to do with the people with whom Ive accepted or requested friendship. But it also has to do with the sowing of seeds and seeing spiritual growth in some who, at one time, had little or no religious leanings! I watched a video by Tyler Perry yesterday (if you scrolled past it, go to YouTube and look for Tyler Perry 2012 success; it was probably one video that I would recommend to anybody struggling to find what they should do with their life. The idea of sowing a seed is usually used in reference to evangelism; however, Tyler Perry uses it as an example of maintaining focus on doing one thing and being successful in that area of focus. 1 Corinthians 10:31 says, Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. Giving glory to God for successes is something for which Tim Tebow was ridiculed, and Tyler says its the part that is usually edited from any interviews he gives. But if we take credit for our successes, we are fooling ourselves! Too often, we also blame the Lord for our failures. But God only wants good for His children. Its the choices we make, going down the wrong path, that brings us negative results. The good thing is that, even when we take a sidestep from following His plan for our lives, God can take bad and turn it to good. They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him. (Psalm 126:5-6 KJV). My
