COMMENT: So how long will it take to get from 1M neurons to 100M? About 7-10 years, following Moores Law. But things wont stop there, and this sort of processor will gain even more power over time. Potentially more interesting is connecting millions of them at the speed of light with fiber-optic cables (or slower with wireless) so they can collaborate, eventually surpassing the combined intelligence of the human race. And how long to get there? 20 years? 30? Still possible in my lifetime. The pace of tech innovation is accelerating, but there are barriers too, such as governments and humanity.
