COMPUTER PROGRAMMERS REQUIRED – FREE TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES OFFERED There is a critical shortage of computer programmers in the information and communication technology industry. We are currently inviting suitable candidates to apply for our computer programming course. During the past 37 years, this highly respected company has successfully trained and placed thousands of people in the IT sector. Specialising in training computer programmers using Java, and incorporating object-orientated analysis and design methodologies, Van Zyl & Pritchard has gained international recognition for the excellent caliber of IT professionals it produces. Applicants must have successfully completed Matric, no previous programming experience is necessary. Candidates will be required to write the Van Zyl & Pritchard Competency Evaluation Test before being accepted onto the course. The 5-hour test evaluates logic, concentration and understanding of programming concepts that will be required during the training programme. Selected candidates will be invited to attend the Entry Level Java Programming Course. Once the candidate has satisfactorily passed the course, they will be employed by Van Zyl & Pritchard on a contractual basis doing projects at client companies. Candidates from previously disadvantaged communities are particularly welcome to apply. Van Zyl & Pritchard place all their graduates, either as contractors or in permanent jobs. Success is subject to the individuals performance in the job interviews they are sent on. Factors such as the graduate presentation, personal achievement and personality effect the outcome of the job interview and graduates are advised on interview techniques and will also be provided with background information about the employing companies. Admission Requirements: a) Applicants must have matric, and no previous programming experience is necessary and b) Candidates need to be competent in English. c) Ages from 18–30 will be considered. d) Applicants must have no bad credit rating (including debt incurred at other tertiary institution). e) Applicants must have no criminal record. f) Applicants must have SA Citizenship. g) Own computer (desktop / laptop) How To Apply: 2014 Enrollment is now OPEN for February 2014.
