CONCLUSION OF SALESIAN SISTERS GENERAL CHAPTER XXIII: “A true time of grace and of the presence of the Holy Spirit.” This was the experience lived during General Chapter 23, which concluded today, Saturday, November 15th, liturgical feast of Blessed Maddalena Morano, Daughter of Mary Help of Christians. In his homily, the Salesian Rector Major, Fr. Ángel Fernández Artime, SDB, said: I can imagine you living the intense days of the General Chapter as your hearts became more and more inflamed. In fact, was your heart not burning within you during these days? You have lived very challenging, even exhausting days. Certainly, with an open heart, you accepted the promptings of the Spirit, and you have broadened your vision to recognize the most authentic needs and the urgencies of a society and a changing generation, as Pope Francis asked of you. Now it is up to you to leave without delay for your provinces and houses, to bring with you the beauty of the Chapter experience.” He then expressed his wish for the Chapter members: May Mary, Mother, Teacher, and Helper, assist you in being today, with the young people, a home that evangelize, and may she open wide your heart to hope.”
