REPOST Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat Pacific participant in SIAL France in race for accolade Heilala Vanilla, a Pacific participant in the forthcoming Salon International de l’Alimentation (SIAL) in Paris, has just been informed that their have been selected for inclusion in the For the first time ever, Pacific Island exporters will showcase their products on the first Pacific Islands Trade & Invest (PT&I) booth at the prestigious Parisian show that will run from 19 to 23 October 2014 at the Parc des Expositions de Paris Nord Villepinte-France. SIAL Paris is the world’s major agri-food event, with more than 6,000 exhibitors and 150,000 high profile visitors, including French and international decision-makers. The Pacific Islands Trade booth will be located in the National Pavilion section and will feature niche food and beverage exporters from Vanuatu, Tonga, Niue, Papua New Guinea and Fiji. The inaugural Pacific Islands Trade booth is an initiative of the PT&I Geneva desk and has been made possible by funding from the European Union via the Pacific Integration Technical Assistance Program (PITAP). Pacific Island food and beverage exporters also participated at SIAL China earlier this year with excellent outcomes for the participants.
