CONNECTION CLUB CONSTITUTION September 7, 2013 Article I: (Name) The Connection Club Article II: (Purpose) Our club’s purpose is to encourage and let students Interact with others in the school and the community. Introduce them to all kinds of activities and events. Article III: (Eligibility) Membership is open to students of all grades based on an interest of joining activities. All members should meet all requirements that is based on the Tiger Guide, concerning extracurricular activities. They must do a short survey of what’s their interest. Article IV: (Time and place of meetings) Meetings will be held every Thursday afterschool at the club advisor’s room, unless it is previously arranged to meet elsewhere. Meeting will be used as annunciation and explanations of the activities that we planned to do. Article V: (Dues) Club dues shall be $1 per member per semester and must be turned in by a previously arranged date to be eligible for membership. The due date of the dues shall be chosen by the treasurer/ the advisor of the club. Article VI: (Officers) The club officers shall consist of a president, a vice-president, a secretary, and a treasurer. It is not mandatory for officers to attend every meeting unless official club business is to be discussed. Officers must be enrolled in the High School, he/she must participate in the club with good standing in attendance for a minimum of one year, and have a GPA of higher than 2.0. The officers’ duties are as follows: President-- The president shall preside over club meetings when official club business is to be discussed, direct club activities upon consultation with the advisor, attend Club Presidents’ Meetings, act as mediator between the club and the Commission/Administration, and be responsible for placing any notices in the school bulletin. Vice-President -- The vice-president shall assume the responsibility of any officer not present at meetings requiring the presence of officers, make sure the attendance is taken at meetings, be responsible for any details concerning competitions, and post notices of events and meetings in the school area. Secretary -- The secretary shall record the minutes of any officers’ meetings and any club meetings when official club business is to be discussed, create and update the club roster when necessary, and maintain the club notebook. Treasurer --The treasurer shall collect the club dues, handle all financial matters, act as mediator between the club and the Student Bank, and maintain the club ledger. Article VII: (Amendment) Any amendment need 2/3 majority vote of members present to amend its constitution. Treasurer will be responsible for counting the votes, secretary is responsible for record. President and vice president are responsible for planning and progress the vote.
