CONSIDER THIS ON THIS DAY: problems with roots A great deal of our failures & successes occur because of the circle of influence we have acting in our daily grind. Our friends can either be the reasons we keep suffering losses or the purpose for our fallen to our knees in tears. We allow others to dictate how we feel & believe about ourselves. From our birth, God has placed within us great and grand purpose backed with remarkable talent. On the inside, we move easily and with power. On the outside, we let SIMPLE MINDED folks manipulate our belief in ourselves. We allow others to crush our self-esteem. In Judges 16, the story of a misguided young man is given to us as examples of how our friends, lovers and enemies find ways to remove us from the gifts and standards God has placed within our walks in life. Samson had serious faults and problems which caused him a slow stumble to defeat, solitude and failure. He allowed others to distract him from the CALLING WHICH GOD HAD GRANTED in his life. The root of his problem was that he believed the talents and gifts were only to please his wanton lusts. If, only for a few moments of the day, we take a step back and check ourselves against what we know and understand about God.....we could correct our missteps. Correcting our missed opportunities takes some hard work, it takes some pleading and praying to God for forgiveness, and it takes US making the decision to break away from negative and non- prosperous friendships. Some negative folks will seem as if they are feeding great things into us, but the entire time, they are working to keep us broken, unfocused and destroy all our chances to become the person God created us to be. Samson had to completely lose everything to understand his missteps and find himself being treated like an animal, working hard and receiving only ridicule and laughter from the very persons he may have thought admired him because of the talents he possessed. READ Judges 16:19-30 make this day the day that you make time to investigate the issues which are causing you to suffer and struggle needlessly. Then systematically MAKE STRONG DECISIONS TO REMOVE INFECTED ROOTS AND CAUSES so you can restore you to you. BELIEVE IN ALL OF YOUR GIFTS & TALENTS GOD HAS GIVEN YOU. You are greater than folks have been telling you
