CONTENDING FOR THE FAITH. Jude.1-25. 1NTRODUCTION. We are encouraged to contend always for the glory of the FAITH which we have in the glorious gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. ( Jude.1.3 ). A. WHAT IS THIS FAITH? It is simple. It is to believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God and therefore Lord of heaven and earth. It includes our response to this belief by our accepting Him personally as our Lord and Saviour with the readiness to serve Him with all our lives the rest of our days on earth. B. WHAT ARE THE BASES OF THE FAITH.? Jesus died on the cross of calvary about 2000 years ago for all mankind and shed his precious blood for the remission of our sins. He was buried and on the third day, He rose from the dead and is presently advocating for the church. By His sacrificial death, and victorious resurrection, Jesus has obtained for us that believe, the gifts of salvation, divine healing of our bodies, the Holy Spirit and eternal life. C. WHAT SHOULD WE DO? We should hold our FAITH dear to us. We should, I repeat should not allow its pollution, defilement, distortion, falsification, distraction and neglect. Rather we should preach the gospel everywhere in boldness as we contend for the FAITH. D. WITH WHOM CAN WE CONTEND FOR THE FAITH.? 1. People who DENY THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. Jude.1.4 11. People who DEPEND ON THE DOCTRINE OF DEVILS. Jude.1.6 111. People who DESIRE AND WALK ON UNBELIEVE. Jude.1.5. 1V. People who DO WALK IN VARIOUS FORMS OF IMMORALITY. Jude.1.7. V. People who DETERMINE TO LIVE IN COVETIOUSNESS AND GREED.Jude.1.11 V1. People who DECEITFULLY WALK IN UNRIGHTEOUSNESS. Jude.1.12. V11. People who DELIBRATELY MANIFEST EVIL. Jude.1.10,13. CONCLUSION. Let us stand up and contend earnestly for the FAITH which Jesus purchased for us with His precious blood and which is of incomparable and eternal value. Let nothing stop you from making the difference. God bless you mightily in the name of Jesus. Amen. Be fulfilled.
