CONVERSATION IN MY HEAD- I used to be able to do the buffet - TopicsExpress

CONVERSATION IN MY HEAD- I used to be able to do the buffet thing, take a little bit of this from one preacher and a little bit of that from another, then something happened. I found myself unable to receive from people I did not like their doctrines anymore. I was a bit perplexed as to why and then I got it; though GOD can and does use anyone, I believe that HE will not use anyone that the person HE is trying to speak to won’t or cant receive from, because of some broken trust. What I mean is this, a total stranger can be used and with discernment, one ought to get it, but someone you are familiar with that has been caught in a lie or manipulation of the truth, a few times, becomes difficult to receive from... So just as it would be difficult for someone to receive from a person who they are feeling some sort of remorse towards, it is difficult for me, even without remorse. I pondered on why for a while, because there was something that just was not clicking. In a scenario where someone offends me and I am upset, not talking about a situation where they may not know that they did, but one where it is clear as day that they did and they know it, I will forgive them even in the absence of an apology, but may not take them serious until they apologize. That apology opens up my heart to be able to receive what they may have to say. Forgiving heals me, the apology heals them, it shows that they saw what they did as wrong, and it now enables me to see them as someone who can be wrong and is human. Now bringing it back to the preachers, I have found why it is difficult for me to receive from them, it is because they have not revoked, apologised or corrected any of the issues I have with them, meaning that they still feel that way, still believe in the doctrinal error and heresy, they prefer to fleece than feed. For me, it is difficult to take them serious and I know that GOD knows, so HE speaks to me through so many others. If a man is known for killing people, will you believe him when he says thou shalt not kill?...≈KDL®™©2014
