Khambu Chelijiu...u really impressed me....with ur knowledge on our culture. I hv thoroughly read ur cmmnts. Certain points raised by u really compelled me to write this. Pl take it as a healthy discussion only for a better prospect n bttr 2moro. Firstly, in principle, I hv neer affirmed that Krishna and Jesus are One. If u hv read my prior cmmnt on this status, u wl b able to make out that this cmmnt ws a subtle premonition only. Secondly, KIRAT word itself is not a Tibeto-Burman language family word but a sanskrit word...not only that all, 29 Kirat Kings hv hardly any resemblance with the Tibeto-Buman language family. The twenty-nine Kirat Kings were; 1.Yalambar 2.Pari 3. 3.Skandhar 4.Balamba 5.Hriti 6.Humati 7.Jitedasti 8.Galinja 9.Oysgja 10.Suyarma 11.Papa 12.Bunka 13.Swawnand14.Sthunko 15.Jinghri 16.nane 17.luka 18.Thor 19.Thoko 20.Verma 21.Guja 22.Pushkar 23.Keshu 24.Suja 25.Sansa 26.Gunam 27.Khimbu 28.Patuka 29.Gasti....which agn strongly indicates our affiliation with the Sanatani dharma even at that point of time. Still we r not allergic to it as we are to hindu dharma (I strongly believe in our culture, dnt take me for a hindu dharma supporter...most ppl do that). Thirdly, I failed to understand, why u r with GP Singh regarding origin of the word KIrat? Is it js because he is not dat offending when it comes to other school of thoughts abt origin of KIrat word? Dr. Chatterjee might sound a bit annoying abt origin of the word Kirat...but why a sensible person like u turning a blind eye on the fact that he is taking reference of our own Siri - Dzonga and and Rong or Lepcha lipi? Why not instead look for confirmation from these two lipis? Not only Dr Chatterjee but a lot other writers and anthropologists and hindu holy books also suggest the same. Why not shll we go wid the majority? Fourthly, why using word like most probably? Cmon, we r discussing a serious issue whch cncerns our Identity...we need to be more deliberate and methodological....so light words like Most probably cannot be entertained. Fifthly, if Im suggesting that Kiratas were hindus then there are evidences and historical narratives which suggest it. Today u wl find Kirat words like Pur scattered all over India, Pakistan, Burma, Thailand n Indonesia. Does it suggest something? N Ill not be surprised if u find it in Arab world. What do u hv to say abt Shaivitte sect of Hinduism? We came to India and then present day home in Nepal to Sikkim/Darjeeling much earlier than Aryan which vaguely suggest that we came in contact with local dharma much earlier then Aryans. Historians are one about one thing, Aryans hd accepted the local religion which at that point of time was not even named as hindu. As I said earlier on other Rai groups also, Aryans (Khas) were also considered as Kirats and they too were hinduised in due course of time. Otherwise they were nomads, barbarian and savages like our ancestors....may be the reason why they hv been categorised as Kiratas. Ancient sanatani dharma ws basically abt worshipping the nature only like us. It ws maligned and brought to the present day form by Aryans but in the process, the Aryans themselves ddnt remain pure....eventually the sanatani dharma became their dharma and its not hindu dharma. Word Hindu is js a corrupted form of word Sindhu. Nw I hope, why I raised this probability about we being hindu much earlier than the present day radical hindus? U r writing ur name Khambu Cheli....Cheli is Khas kura....what is the origin of the first word of ur name? Lastly, all these question I hv raised or reasoning I hv given does not make me a staunch hindu supporter. Im js in search of Truth. Any religion, society, mankind, civilisation which is based on unfactual things dsnt last long. It hs to be in support with eternal realisation and truth. What I mean to bring out is if we are ushering ourselves for a religious/cultural revival then we shd do it with factual realisation. Im sorry to say but we still are, as it seems to me, as not yet ready for cultural/religious switch over...as it leaves ppl like me wanting more. Sewa...Jay Kirat Khambu Rai!!!
