CORNWALL AND SURREY PART FOUR. Ian. But it begs the question just at whose request was this meeting actually made? It wasnt LA/SS; I cant see it being by The CQC itself off their own bat? So that leaves only one other possible source; Cornwall Care and their main man Douglas Webb. Since Penberthy first hit the social media there has been a total silence from Cornwall Care and for several days by The CQC; there still has only been one very small reference in the local media that said an inspection team had gone into Penberhy House. The whole purpose of this meeting it would seem to me is one of damage limitation and a very subtle and clever way of ensuring that Toby ceases to promote his book and revelations by accepting that The CQC had done their job and that things are being put right; the residents are safe; the job is done and everything in the Garden of Penberthy and Cornwall Care is fine and rosey. But it isnt give it 6 to 12 months and everything will be back to what it was and the serious issues of care in CC other homes will still remain and in those of Morleigh too. I shall relate why I think this is inevitably so later in another more finanicially related post.
