COUNTENANCE 2 The Water Carrier stood in the lush courtyard gardens of Castle Turlan, her arms poised above her head, each dainty hand wrapped around the handle of a large vessel which rested atop her slim shoulders. Her head turned to the side, her sad eyes gazed eternally at the what lay below the large, ornately-carved plinth which held her in place a full seven feet above the gardens. She had once been a brilliant azure, but now, a rich patina covered her, sprinkling bits of copper, gold, and dark green amongst the barely visible azure hue. She was but a statue this Water Carrier, but once….yes, once she had been a woman.
