COUNTIN ON A MIRACLE: REASONS TO BE CHEERFUL, part 9... When I heard Jake Clemons was playing in Dublin, my original plan was a quick one-night stopover to catch his show. Thanks to Paul and the McCann family and Janice and Deirdre, this soon turned into a proper two-night Halloween weekend. We had the privilege of enjoying McCann hospitality and marvelling at the event that is Halloween in Keady! As if that wasnt enough of a treat, the next night Paul drove us to Dublin and back for my first experience of Jakes own live show, revealing him to be not only a talented musician on multiple instruments, a fine singer-songwriter, but also a commanding and charismatic performer. One of many highlights was his spontaneous Thriller dance with our friend Salla, who stole the show despite her leg injury - quite an achievement! A truly memorable weekend for which Im grateful to all :-)
