COUNTRY MUSIC One of the things I enjoy most is lying back on my easy chair, switch off all the lights in my fairly large living room and listen to country music late in the night. When I listen to heart-touching melodies in the eerie atmosphere provided by the dark room lit only by the tiny LED’s of the DVD player and my cheap 5.1 surround music system, I often get a feeling of being lifted up in thin air, floating, levitating in it! The songs which take me to a different world are from artists ranging from Don Williams (the best of them according to my taste), Vince Gill (sweetest voice like Talat Mohamed’s and Jayachandran’s), Tanya Tucker (deep, metallic voice), Randy Travers(marvelous!), Tammy Wynette, Sara Evans (one of the best), Ricky van Sheldon (amazing!), Dolly Parton, Brad Paisley, Leona Lewis, Kenny Rogers, Rita Coolidge, The Eagles, Shania Twain, Phil Collins, Vicky Leandros, Jim Reeves, etc., etc., to Taylor Swift.
