COUNTY: Mercer to host bullying program: WEST WINDSOR — The Mercer County Commission on Abused, Neglected, and Missing Children, in association with Kidsbridge, will conduct a seminar, “Eradicating Bullying and Fostering Tolerance & Mutual Respect Among Our Young.” DATE POSTED: Thursday, November 7, 2013 12:18 PM EST The program will feature keynote speaker Randy Nathan, president and CEO of Project NextGen (projectnextgen). The program will include breakout sessions with expert panelists on child advocacy programs and methods to eradicate bullying within Mercer County’s youth population. Teaching professionals, guidance counselors and school administrators throughout Mercer County are encouraged to attend. Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes supports the Commission on Abused, Neglected, and Missing Children chartered under the county’s Department of Human Services. Mercer County Sheriff Jack Kemler and Mercer County Prosecutor Joseph Bocchini serve as advisers to the commission. Commission members include Marygrace Billek, director, Mercer County Department of Human Services; Robin Scheiner, chairperson, Prosecutor’s Office; Loni Hand, Doris Weisberg, Rose Nini, Steve Rosen, Helen Keith Smeltzer, Michael Shifman and Jason Salvatore. Kidsbridge is a Mercer County-based nonprofit organization dedicated to providing hands-on programs focusing on anti-bullying, anti-cyberbullying and tolerance.
