COURSERA Announcements New Session Starting - History of the Slave South Hi Everyone: I am writing to let you know that a new session of my course, History of the Slave South, is starting on Monday, January 19th. I know you signed up for the course before, but if life and work got in the way and you would like to try again, or if you would just like an opportunity to revisit the issues with a new community of learners, then this is another chance to enroll. You can sign up HERE. Also, please note that we will be closing down access to the course site of the first session when the new session opens, so if you’d like to retain access to the course materials or participate on the discussion board, you will need to join this new session of the course. The course starts in the 15th Century with the creation of a new world out of the connection of Africa, Europe and the Americas, and it ends with the fall of the slave South and the defeat of the Confederacy in the American Civil War. We have an excellent team again this time around. I will be back, of course, but so will Roberto and Emma. And we have a new lead TA, Alex Ponsen, joining us, too.
