COURT HEARING - VGASTRO BAR FOURTH TRIAL ********************************************************************* The fourth trial of VGastro Bar case proceeds at Bahan court in Yangon on Friday. Two local defendants, bar owner Htun Thurein and manager Htut Ko Ko, who’ve been charged under the sub-section A of section 295, were tried and cross-examined in this trial. The 40-year-old nightspot’s owner, Htun Thurein, said he’s not responsible for that, claiming this happened over the internet, not in his nightspot. He also said he only came to know about the picture with Buddha wearing the headphones when a friend of his rang him. He then phoned the general manager New Zealander to remove it right away. Htut Ko Ko Lwin, manager of the bar, also said that he came to know about the picture and crime only when police force came to the bar. The mother of the local manager of the bar claimed that her son is not responsible for the crime because he’s join the spotlight for a week ago. The plaintiff, Than Htike – township administrator of Bahan Township –was also tried and cross-examined in this trial. The witnesses will be summoned in the next trial, which is on 12th January.
