The Brautigan Library Opening 1990, Burlington. Richard Brautigans daughter, Ianthe, flew in from California to place the first book on the shelves. The library was inspired by a fictional library in a Richard Brautigan novel that only accepted unpublished books. During its lifetime in Vermont, over 100 volunteers kept the library running.
