Christine Moffat asked, I have a son who is 13 (8th grade) and loves music. He would like to probably do a music degree. He has taken piano in the past, but guitar is his passion. Here in Canada, the universities are not very homeschooler -riendly unless you have a government-issued high-school diploma. We chose a traditional path in that we do not align with any provincial-based curriculum. Are there any homeschool music courses - online or otherwise - my son can study now from 9th to 12th grade, which could prepare him for music at the college and university level?? He is not taking classical guitar. He has had 3 years of piano and 3 years of guitar. He currently plays in our youth worship band at church every week, as well as plays with our various worship bands in our main sanctuary, for which he had to audition. Any words of wisdom and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
