#CPorgInspiration — 49-year-old Bobby Landfair - who has CP - was abandoned as a child and had lived with a family that fostered children with disabilities. At age 21, Bobby took a Greyhound bus from Ohio to Costa Mesa, where he continues today to panhandle for money to pay for motel rooms. When there isnt enough money for a motel, he sleeps in places that are open 24 hours or on bus benches. One day, Yvette Dobbie, a political consultant living in Laguna Beach, saw Bobby while she was driving and was compelled to stop and help. Today Yvette and her husband regularly take home Bobbys laundry, give him motel money, get him a haircut, and advocate on his behalf with Social Security. When Bobbys Social Security benefits were cut in half because he didnt have any way of receiving mail, the couple added him to their post office box, restoring his benefits. The couple has made Bobbys welfare a personal cause. They have a fundraiser planned for him next Sunday at Newport Beach.
