CREEPY CAR #7 for the Top 10 Countdown to Halloween, a possessed D7 Dozer, gets a special place in our list, not because its a classic car or even a horror movie, albeit horrific... on fast play. This slow motion crusher has a haunting ghost story that came to life, the kind of story that gets told around campfires right after the man with the hook for a hand. Born from a Theodore Sturgeon novella in 1944, this killing machine came back to life in a Graphic Novel and again 30 years later in the 1974 sci fi sleeper Killdozer. And that is where the story starts to whisper eerily in the dark because 30 years after its second coming, the possessed bulldozer strikes again. This time, the D7 that wont die (even after a nuclear bomb attack in the movie) is resurrected in a 2004 real time news headline, as the now infamous Heemeyer terrorizes a town with a bulldozer and then shoots himself in the head. Too much terror to be overlooked on the list, so the possessed spirit of the D7 dozer earns the #7 spot on this years scarifying car list.
