CRICKET IN QUEENSLAND: The Geelong contingent has arrived safely on the Sunshine Coast to play in the National Over 60 / Over 70 Carnival. An enthusiastic training session was held in Maroochydore Cricket Club on Saturday – we are ready to play!. The Geelong team of Steve Drew, Don Everett, Rob Ford, Greg Lott, Terry Mortimer, Graham Mulroney, Charles Rees, Derek Sedgman, Dennis Wescombe, Steve West, Bill Wigmore and Captain John Williams will defend the Division 3 Shield we won in Adelaide. Our Draw is: Sunday 8th September versus NSW Kookaburras at Trewantin Monday 9th September versus NSW Thunderbolts at Yandina Wednesday 11th September versus WA at Landsborough Finals will be played on Thursday 12th September. In addition Robert Agg, Lindsay Fisher, Kel Grant, Ross Price, Ian Pritchard and Gary Ralph are all playing for Victoria teams. Congratulations to these guys on their selections, particularly Robert Agg as Captain of the Victoria 1 team!
