CSX Employees Injured In Train Derailment By Shannon McFarlin WENK/WTPR News Director Camden, Tenn.-Employees of the CSX Railroad were injured when a train derailed in Benton County Sunday night. The Benton County Sheriffs Office said as many as 15 empty cars went off the tracks after a levee for a newly built pond broke, causing flooding along Highway 70 West. According to the press release, the sheriff’s office received a call at 9:56 p.m., informing them of flooding at a residence on Hwy. 70W. While the dispatcher was gathering information from the caller, a train came through town and derailed due to the flooding. The injured employees were treated by EMS and taken to Camden General Hospital. Their injuries reportedly are minor. Crews from the Benton County Sheriffs Office, the Camden Police Department, the Benton County Rescue Squad, the Morris Chapel Fire Department, the Chalk Level Fire Department, Jackson Medlink EMS and Benton County EMA responded. CSX officials are still on scene investigating
