CURTIN SARAWAK NEWS: Curtin Sarawak accounting graduates win MICPA awards Two accounting graduates from the School of Business of Curtin University, Sarawak Malaysia (Curtin Sarawak) were awarded Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) awards at an award ceremony held in Kuala Lumpur recently. Ling Yi Qing received the ‘Excellence Award for Best Accounting Graduate’ in recognition of his outstanding academic performance, exemplary leadership qualities and desire for excellence. He is currently pursuing his ACCA Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) certification. Meanwhile, Jong Ling, who received the ‘Meritorious Achievement’ award, was recognised for her outstanding academic performance and desire to strive for excellence in the pursuit of an accounting qualification. She is pursuing a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) with the School of Business at Curtin Sarawak. Both were nominated for the awards by the school and were selected from nominees from both public and private universities in Malaysia.
