CUSTARD TRAVESTY On QI, the comedy general-knowledge quiz show, - TopicsExpress

CUSTARD TRAVESTY On QI, the comedy general-knowledge quiz show, Stephen Fry said that custard, as in a bowl of custard, has thixotropic properties - it goes hard when you hit it. Every fool there on his show nodded in approval because Stephen Fry is the knowledge man, who knows about science, the universe and everything. Stephen Fry is a dunderhead. He is one of the BBCs main-stream God-Save-the-Queen upper-middleclass stereotypes: pedestrian, unimaginative, and science drool-meister to the Proles. No Stephen. Custard is NOT thixotropic. No wonder that everyone, except you (and you had time to think about it!), looked mystified as to how their bowl of custard would go hard if it was hit, before quickly succumbing to your authoritas and nodding in donkey-assent. Saints preserve us, not even the audience noticed. Listen Stephen, you were good on Black Adder - but only DRY custard powder - UNCOOKED custard powder, in a small amount of water, is thixotropic. Alright dear?
