Cacadu District Municipality in Port Elizabeth has internships for 2014. Stipend is R120, 000 pa. As part of the project, Interns will undergo intensive training in Municipal Accounting and Financial Management. The Accounting and Financial areas include inter alia. This position will suit candidates with the following profile. • Belong to previously disadvantaged group or background; • An appropriate Accounting degree e.g B. Com, with Accounting 3 as a major subject is essential; • Two years relevant experience will be a recommendation; • Must be computer literate with extensive knowledge of MS Office, Software Packages (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint); • Ability to speak at least two languages spoken within the Council’s area of jurisdiction; • Must be willing to undergo an assessment test specifically of Basic to Advance Excel programmes; • Preference will be given to those applicants coming from CDM area of jurisdiction. Requirements are ND Human Resources/Public Management preferably Degree/B-Tech in Human Resources or Public Management with Performance Management III.
