Cafe de Dokter My favourite bar in Amsterdam,perhaps the world,the Dokter has been open since the 1700s,the old fellow who runs it now said its been in his family for over 10 generations..about the only thing electricity is used for is refrigeration and some very dim lights,but its mostly candles…no vomit inducing television,no radio.too obscure for tourists and too small for crowds(it fits about 20 people)…on a good night it could be 400 years ago
